 Mark Davis, Director of User Experience, Autodesk Mark is a design director, inventor and producer of interactive products, including design software, consumer electronics, telephony, wireless and web applications. He has been recognized and awarded patents internationally for his expertise in user experience, usability and human factors, and user interface design. Currently, he leads a cross-functional team who design software for designers. Autodesk is widely known for its flagship drafting product AutoCAD, but also produces industry leading software and services for Architectural, Mechanical, Industrial Design and Entertainment. His practical experience as a product design engineer, animator and user experience designer spans more than two decades. Prior to joining Autodesk, Mark managed the human interface group for Palm. In addition to modernizing the flagship applications, he was instrumental in bringing capabilities like hi-resolution color, telephony, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth , music, video capture and one-handed navigation to the Palm OS. During the .com boom, he was Director for Emerging Technologies at MetaDesign, a international design consultancy, where he led projects with LG Electronics, Tivo, Excite@Home, Replay TV and Palm. Prior to focusing on emerging products, Mark founded Dimensional Studios, producing special effects and broadcast 3D for games, film and television including over 20 feature films for ILM, Paramount Pictures and FOX.
