 Sally Dominguez, Inventor, Writer, Founder, Rainwater HOG LLC, Bug Design Ltd, HOG Works Ltd Armed with an Architecture degree from Sydney University and 10 years practice in sustainable building design, Sally has, since 2001, invented, developed and produced a succession of award-winning, innovative products. Her Nest highchair, awarded an Australian Standards DesignMark in 2003, is in the Powerhouse Museum Permanent Collection and pioneered a new finish in rotomolding. Her O MOON indoor/outdoor standing lamp is produced by Design Within Reach in the USA, and her SPOT stool features in Boost Juice stores throughout Australia. Sally’s multi-award-winning Rainwater HOG modular tank, a unique multi-directional reusable vessel, was named in the Top 10 Green Building Products in 2008 and won a Spark Award the same year. Sally judges design and innovation for ABC TV’s New Inventors, the Australian Design Awards, and Wheels Magazine Car of the Year Awards. She writes on sustainability and innovation for Monument magazine, Wheels and G, and lectures on Design and Creativity for the NSW Board of Studies. Sally lives in San Francisco, designing and developing water and energy-efficient products and sustainable production strategies, and lecturing on Innovations in Rainwater and Grey Water.
